I have a degree in Spanish from Michigan State University. I am currently a Spanish teacher for the Detroit Public Schools and I have loved teaching Spanish and culture to all of my students. My approach is not only the fundamentals of reading, writing and speaking the language, but the immersion of the culture itself (i.e., movies, music, foods, various dialects, etc.). I have had the pleasure of broadening hundreds of students horizons by allowing them to realize their own potential of actually learning and applying their new found language into their own everyday lives.
My approach to teaching is to begin in-line with what they are learning in school as to not overwhelm them and advance them from there. I assign homework after every lesson and I provide assessments to guardians periodically I am available for tutoring Mon-Friday from 3:45- 5pm. And from 9 a.m.- 9p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
I hope to engage with your children soon! Can't wait to meet them and open up a world from "I cant's" to "I did". Please contact me soon as this is the beginning of the school year and my calendar fills up fast to learn more and schedule lessons! Adios! I have a degree in Spanish from Michigan State University. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
