In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I hold a bachelor of arts in Anthropology, and graduated with a 3.90 GPA in my major. I worked for the Anthropology department at my university as a research assistant and teaching assistant, and have tutored college students in a variety of anthropology courses.
My concentration for my anthropology major was in archaeology. I have worked as a teaching assistant for archaeology courses, and have tutored students in this capacity. In addition, I have taken coursework in archaeological fieldwork and theory at a graduate level, and have attended an archaeological field school.
I double-minored in history and Middle Eastern Studies, and took several courses on classical history. I studied and researched the relationship between ancient Rome and ancient Israel, and attended archaeological field school at a classical site in Israel. Also I am teaching world history currently, which entails significant knowledge of the classical world.
