Hello! I hope I can be of assistance to any of you who may need it. I am a proud father of two beautiful children, ages 11 and 15. They are my world and watching them grow assists with my career of helping people. I have 5+ years experience teaching high school/middle school science (Life science, Earth/Space science, Chemistry, Biology, Physical science, Physics) and math (7th grade math, Pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry/Pre-calculus). I have also taught a Life Skills course (which was mixed with Business Math). I have taught at Waterbrook Christian Academy and currently teach full-time at Faithway Christian Academy, both of which are private schools in the Burton area. I was officially a tutor for high school students in the Bendle/Carman-Ainsworth school district for over a year and a half. The majority of my tutoring has been for science and math (mostly math while working for Bendle/Carman-Ainsworth). However, I did tutor in other subject areas, as well as help students in their career paths such as writing letters of recommendation for them. I have also been a substitute teacher on and off for the past 9 years for students K-12 in multiple school districts throughout Genesee County (I still currently sub on some of my days off). I subbed long-term at Kearsley High School for over a marking period while the original teacher was out on sick-leave. I have proctored multiple tests (including ACT and SAT). In addition, I have worked in Summer Science Camps, para-pro positions, special ed classrooms, and other personal tutoring sessions. I even helped my peers with their school work as a student throughout my school career. Additionally, I did an internship as a Teacher's Aide while in high school at an alternative middle school (where I got hired directly afterward). In my experience, I have noticed that every student learns differently. Therefore, no single approach works for everybody.
