I am considered a renaissance man who will tutor reading, writing and business skills such as marketing and ROI, the arts, and a profound understanding of public speaking skills to those willing to learn.
All these have been honed through a private education, extensive national and international travel, a love of the arts and people skills developed with a broad world-wide audience.
My education centered around languages, math, architecture and business.
Professionally I am a Senior Member of the American Society of Industrial Engineers [ASIE]. I have coordinated the design of over 40 medical centers around the world; re-designed the City Tavern, Betsy Ross and Bishop White houses in Philadelphia and was the New York Jets and Army Black Knight field photographer from 1966 until 2002.
I have also taught "Long Term [business] Strategies" at Aquinas College, Michigan and instituted the New York State "Distance Learning" program in the early 90's.
My business achievements include the successful creation of new Divisions or companies in every venture in which I have been associated.
The progression, therefore, becomes: I was taught; I learned; I practiced and now I impart to others. I am considered a renaissance man who will tutor reading, writing and business skills such as marketing and
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My education is in Architectural Engineering.
My experience consist of re-designing the Betsy Ross House and City Tavern, both in Philadelphia. I have also designed over 40 medical centers in concert with some of the leading architectural firms in the world.
From 1968 until 2003 I was the New York Jets and Army Black Knights field photographer.
I have taught several others who have become renowned in their own right as world-class photographers.
My collections have been used for posters, book covers and other media.
Grammar is a key element of professional growth. Trained in Latin and French as well as English, I have written numerous management manuals; countless Engineering Proposals and other professional documents which resulted in financial growth for their respective companies.
I have trained dozens of people in the proper use of grammar in their writing and speaking skills.
An avid reader in several languages, I am versed in the styles, methods and messages of authors world-wide.
I can articulate writing skills over the centuries whether fact or fiction.
My personal library has thousands of pieces of literature, everyone read, understood and the message imparted to others.
These range from Socrates to Balbacci; from philosophy to "escapism".
I have created 11 entire companies or divisions, using entrepreneurial skills to gather significant market share in each venture. I have marketed services and products world-wide over a 40 year working career.
What I have done has become a model for success for others to emulate.
I use Microsoft Excel to do professional quotes, keep track of projects, keep track of financial accounts, develop formulas, and account for everyday activities.
I have, on average, addressed audiences ranging from a few dozen to hundreds several times a month. An accomplished public speaker, I feel comfortable speaking to Fortune 500 executives and Generals as well as a mix among a community.
Seldom do I use a script or teleprompter; all my talks are given from the heart.
Reading, and the art of comprehending what is read, does not seem to be a skill readily passed on to the younger generation these days.
I was taught to read at an early age and even when in college fellow students would ask to be "taught" the art of reading with comprehension.
My high school years were filled with English, French and Latin reading, the latter two involving translation to English.
Reading is a skill I thoroughly enjoy and enjoy teaching others.
I have been playing both baseball and softball for over 60 years. I played in college as well.
I have played at every position except catcher and third base [I'm left-handed]. And I've also coached at the college level.
Although one does not have to carry a dictionary to understand the words I use, I speak and comprehend words not common in our language. If a single word can express an idea, I use it instead of using volumes to explain it.
Broadening ones vocabulary will aide everyone to achieve better understanding and convey ideas in an intelligent light.
A great example of this is William F. Buckley, author, speaker and intellect.
As a "student" of world history, I have traveled the world literally exploring the regions of profound historic effect.
These include all the continents and great cities of learning.
I have also read most of the available histories of cultures and become learned in the rise and fall of the Ottoman and Roman Empires. It was George Santayana who said: Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it, a truism I try to impart to all my students.
