Hi, I’m Ryad, a recent Wayne State graduate passionate about making complex subjects clear and easy to understand.
My path into tutoring started at Wayne State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Biology. Balancing business with life sciences helped me develop a versatile mindset that I love passing on to my students. Throughout college, I always led study groups, helping peers break down tough biology concepts and heavy analytical frameworks. I realized how much I enjoy helping people unlock subjects they found completely overwhelming. With my dual background, I can help students connect the dots between strict scientific theory and practical logic.
When it comes to tutoring, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. The best way to learn is through dialogue and concept mapping, not passive memorization. For biology and science, I use visual aids and relatable analogies so students understand the actual processes instead of just cramming vocabulary. For business or math, I focus on breaking down multi-step problems into simple pieces. From our first session, I figure out a student's unique learning style so I can adapt my pacing to what works best for them.
Over the last few years, I’ve worked with a wide mix of students, from middle schoolers building foundational skills to college peers tackling upper-level courses. That experience taught me that patience and empathy matter just as much as knowing the material. Whether prepping for a biology exam or working through quantitative concepts, my main goal is to build long-term independence and confidence. I keep my sessions low-stress and comfortable, where making mistakes is just part of the learning process, so students leave feeling totally capable of handling the material on their own.
