First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my page. I hope that the information provided here gives you an understanding of who I am and what I can do for you as a tutor. If you would like me to expand upon anything mentioned on this page, please feel free to send me a message. I hope to hear from you.

I have over 7 years of private tutoring experience for math classes ranging from 6th grade pre-algebra to proof based real analysis. Unlike many tutors, this is not my side job. This is my career. I work full time as a private tutor and I can guarantee that I have experience helping a student with a problem just like yours. My teaching method focuses on empowering first and foremost.

I currently work with over 30 families in the South East and Mid Michigan area. About 50% of my clients are college students in classes ranging from college physics, calculus, to linear algebra and advanced statistics. The other half of my clients are in high school or middle school math or science courses.

I earned a degree in Advanced Mathematics from Michigan State University. This means that I can not only show you how to solve your mathematical problems, but I can show you why things work the way that they do!

I love to teach math, and it shows. With me, math will be fun. I use a very objective and refined teaching style that balances instruction with independent work that will set you up for success in this math class and beyond! I never move on before my student has shown me that they are capable of solving the problems through their own volition.

In addition to math, I have experience teaching and tutoring physics, chemistry, biology, and ACT/SAT test prep. I have worked as a private tutor, a university lecturer, and as a department chair in a tutoring center. Unlike many tutors, tutoring is my full time job. I do this for a living and the level of professionalism and customer service that you will receive with me is unparalleled.

We will sit down, design a goal-based plan and map out what it will take to reach your goals.

Great 1st Lesson!

Bennett was flexible and helpful with setting up our first appointment. My son liked his in-depth knowledge of the subject and his ability to explain concepts that had given him a lot of trouble before. He was prompt, well spoken, professional and relatable. Bennett was able to quickly assess where the problems were and outlined steps that could be taken to resolve those issues. We had a two hour lesson and scheduled another lesson for today.

Great Chemistry tutoring.

Bennett is extremely attentive and made sure I understood what I was doing. He was patient, even though I had to ask things to be repeated a bunch of times. 15 out of 10 every time.

College physics

Bennett was very knowledgeable and explained concepts so I could implement them. I would definitely recommend him and use him in the future. He helped me prepare for my final exam and I was confident that I would do well

Knowledgeable and helpful!

Really helped with a few concepts that I was struggling with. I feel much more comfortable with what we reviewed in this unit. He kept the pace moving, as I'm a quick learner, while being sure I understood. Thank you!

Fantastic Calculus Tutor!

Bennett has been helping my 12th grade son for several months now succeed in his AP Calc class. My son has worked with different tutors in the past and Bennett has been the best by far. He explained things well, is kind in nature and shows a passion for helping kids learn. We recommend him highly!

Always great!

Thank you for always sending a synopsis of your lesson! It helps parents of college students keep up with what you're teaching. Very helpful! This has been a very good experience for all of us!

Responsive and Experienced Tutor

Bennett was very responsive to my son's needs in Calculus. He required a lot of extra help while studying for his mid-term exam and Bennett not only made himself available, but his knowledge of the subject matter made the sessions very productive for my son. I would highly recommend Bennett.
