GRE,

GRE

The General Record Examinations (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools in the United States, in other English-speaking countries and for English-taught graduate and business programs world-wide. Created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS), the exam aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing and critical thinking skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE is offered as a computer-based exam administered by selected qualified testing centers. The GRE was completely overhauled in August 2011, creating an exam that is not adaptive on a question-by-question basis, but rather by section, so that the performances on the first verbal and math sections determine the difficulty of the second sections shown. Overall, the test retained the sections and question types from its predecessor, but the scores were changed to a 130-170 scale. ETS erases all test records that are older than five years, although graduate program admission policies of scores older than five years will vary.
Series 6,

Series 6

I have vast professional experience, spanning more than 30 years, in the securities industry doing investment banking, trading bonds--including credit derivatives--and options. I do private tutoring, in person and online, for clients who are preparing for the FINRA SIE, Series 6, 65, 26, 7, 66, 24, 63, 57, and 4 qualifying examinations. My colleagues/clients have found tremendous value in my tutoring methodology.
Series 63,

Series 63

I am a bond specialist by profession and hold the Series 7 and the Series 66 registrations with FINRA. The Series 63 is the Uniform Securities Agent State Law exam. This exam is designed to qualify candidates as securities agent within the States of the USA. The Series 66 is the Uniform Combined State Law exam and qualifies candidates as securities agent and investment advisor within the States. So the series 63 is part of the series 66 and subordinate to the series 66.
Series 65,

Series 65

I am an Investment Advisor with the series 66 license. This is a larger license than the series 65, and the series 65 is contained within (or is a part of) the series 66. I teach a series 65 class.
Series 66,

Series 66

I currently hold the FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24. My practice consists primarily of negotiating credit derivatives, an options platform, and private placements. I have many years of experience in preparing brokers for these exams. The series 66 can be a tricky exam whether you take it before or after the Series 7. My students find my method easy to follow and quite effective.
Series 7

Series 7

I am a former bond specialist at a NYSE firm and have the FINRA series 7, series 63, series 66 and series 24 registrations. I have a comprehensive knowledge of general securities as a rep and as a principal. The series 7 exam tests a great deal about municipal bonds and options. These require close attention and certain techniques (which I will teach you) to navigate successfully. I can teach you to move swiftly and correctly through the exam. I also have materials and real life experiences to share as I teach you the industry.

The Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) is a half-day standardized test administered four times each year at designated testing centers throughout the world. An applicant cannot take the LSAT more than three times within a two-year period. The current form of the exam has been used since 1991. It has six sections: four scored multiple choice sections, an unsecured experimental section, and an unsecured writing section. Raw scores are converted to a scaled score with a high of 180, a low of 120, and a median score of around 150. When an applicant applies to a law school, all scores from e past five years are reported. As of June 2012, it costs $160 (USD) to take the LSAT in the United States.

Great teacher, very patient!

Carlyle assisted in my understanding of topics covered in the SIE! He was very patient, gave many examples and directed the session toward my study style. I look forward to working with him again in the Future, very knowledgeable!

Insightful

Carlyle was attentive and challenged the things I thought I knew forcing me to look at it from different perspectives. He helped me to not only learn the information but understand the reasoning behind the answers. Thank you!

Knowledgeable, professional tutor

Carlyle was a great tutor for the S66. He didn't have a structured plan like some tutors have as a requirement for you to book them, which is exactly what I was looking for and found helpful. I had reviewed the material for the test before I met with him and during our sessions we would take practice tests, similar to the real test, and we would go over every question. He explained every question and answer in detail and if I didn't understand, he explained it until he made sure that I did. I really liked that he explained things as wholes and in real-life scenarios which made it easier to grasp. He was never demeaning or rude, always patient and helpful. This was my 3rd time taking the test, the first time I came off the S7 fresh and admittedly didn't study, the 2nd time I put in a decent effort and was shocked that I didn't pass, so I figured I should probably seek some extra help and Carlyle was just what I was looking for. I would highly recommend him as your S66 tutor for any type of help you need regarding this test!

Extremely knowledgeable and gifted tutor - quickly passed exams with limited finance background

Carlyle exceeded my expectations in every sense. In terms of achieving my objective of passing the Series 63 and SIE exam, Carlyle delivered on all fronts: I gained valuable new skills, eliminated poor study habits, and gained the credibility and skills necessary to find myriad opportunities in my field of investment banking. Carlyle was able to efficiently curate a plan for success despite disadvantages from my limited/non-finance background, severe testing anxiety and ADHD. Carlyle recognized my potential in both the workplace and an academic/testing environment and believed in me when I started to give up on myself. Carlyle is truly gifted and one of the very few tutors I have ever worked with that could efficiently diagnose the cause of my testing struggles and tailor a plan catered to my individualized needs. He also does an incredible job at explaining some of the more tedious concepts like options and margin trading - especially given the remote situation and limitations. Lastly, Carlyle truly cares about his students and instills confidence in those who might have lost it from previous failures. I will be contacting Carlyle in the future for other exam preparation needs and highly recommend him to all - 10/10.

Very supportive, knowledgeable & timely sense of humor

Carlyle was extremely supportive throughout the entire GRE preparation process. His deep understanding in the quant section provided me with the necessary fundamentals to master the concepts and more importantly, his sense of humor was refreshing in our sessions, which calmed my nerves and relieved the tough quant questions.

The absolute BEST tutor in the world!!

I used Carlyle for my series 7 top off as well as my series 63. I passed both and owe it all to him. Carlyle is the most knowledgeable person I've ever know but also the most humble. He's so patient, funny and extremely thorough. Carlyle knew how to break information down to me in a way that made sense to me giving me the confidence and information that I needed to pass. I will never forget Carlyle and truly hope that many more people get the honor of having him has their tutor, believe me you will be in the BEST hands for whatever your goals are. Thank you for everything Carlyle. Forever grateful, Angela

knowledge, patient and a sense of humor

I used Carlyle on both the series 7 top off and the series 66. On the 7 top off, we spent a lot of time on options and munis and it paid off! On the 66, it was more about repetition than concepts, again it paid off! He is very knowledgeable and very patient. He also has a sense of humor, which was nice to see. I'm confident his tutoring made a big difference in passing these exams. I would recommend him without any hesitation!!!

Knowledgeable tutor

I found Carlyle to be helpful and reliable. His rates are reasonable as well. Carlyle was willing to meet me at my level. He partnered with me to bring me up to speed, I felt less isolated. It was great to have someone else championing my cause, over time I noticed that his efforts truly helped to bolster my confidence, and I believe it made a difference in the positive results I achieved on the Series 7 Top Off exam. I would highly recommend Carlyle’s tutoring services.
