I have over 6 years of experience in public speaking and began competing in middle school and continued throughout high school. Throughout the years, I have placed on a local and national level. I have also served as an assistant coach for 1 year and a competition judge for the past 6 years. As a coach and judge, I have helped both middle school and high school students by giving them constructive and encouraging feedback on how to strengthen their speeches and arguments, helped them to brainstorm ideas and consider additional points, and worked to refine their presentations and slides. I really enjoy helping students grow in their confidence and public speaking skills and have had the opportunity to watch them place as competition finalists and integrate those skills into various parts of their lives.

I have also been tutoring college students on various topics within my pharmacy program for the past 3 years. Every student learns differently, and I like to tailor my 1:1 sessions to fit the individual’s learning style. I have done this in the past by finding creative ways to reteach material, walking through content step by step, or by giving advice or visuals on how to approach a topic. If I am hosting review sessions with multiple students, I leave plenty of time to address any questions.

I am currently in the final year of my PharmD/MBA program on track to graduate Magna Cum Laude. I have job experience in medical communications where I developed medical content for pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca and TG therapeutics. My scientific background has allowed me to refine my medical writing and editing skills, conduct manuscript reviews, and proofread/fact check scientific material.
