I love learning and I love sharing what I have learned with others. I enjoy helping people with math. I understand the struggle one goes through to try and make sense of the material. ANYONE can be a mathematician if one desires. It just takes effort and time. I can help relate mathematical language and processes to facilitate an understanding and respect for math. We all learn at a different pace, and we learn from our mistakes.
Mathematics is important in our everyday lives. Math is logic, problem solving, and critical thinking. Math has many applications, it is beautiful, and it has certainty. The applications of math are infinite. The Gordon model of stock valuation, named after Myron Gordon, is used to determine the value of a stock whose dividend is expected to increase by the same percent each year. Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity is used in GPS navigation systems to give precise targets of location. There is much beauty in math with its many patterns and shapes. Michelangelo used the Golden Ratio in his sculpture of David. The harmonic series is mathematical music describing sound. Mathematics has certainty. The Pythagorean Theorem is just as true today as it was thousands of years ago. Two plus two will always equal four and there is no debating that. Mathematics is applied everywhere, seen in all things beautiful, and its laws can p

Eric T. helped me tremendously! I was lost in my statistics class and have a test coming up! He went out of his way to make sure I understood the material and made sure I felt confident taking my test! He is passionate about math and caring for his students! Moreover, I have a clear understanding of the material after he patiently went through everything step by step! I highly recommend him as a math tutor!Jacquelyn , 4 lessons with Eric
Great tutor, explains concepts v well
Helped in my Stats class for assignment and also clarified my concepts related to normal distribution and other areas Highly recommend.Mrs, 4 lessons with Eric
Great tutor for mathematical statistics
Eric T tutored me during a graduate course on mathematical statistics. I have been out of school for many years and I struggled with the material. Eric was very patient and broke down the basics of this fast-moving course for me. He even provided documents with key points and background information for studying on my own. He was very thorough and explained complex topics in a way that made sense. I'd highly recommend him!Heather, 34 lessons with Eric
A kind tutor who explains mathematical principles extremely well.
Eric is a very rare find, one that is able to explain not just the mechanics of mathematics but the all important "why?". Without understanding why math works the way it does, you are doomed to hit the inevitable and impenetrable "huh?" wall. Eric builds your understanding of applications, when to use them and why so when you come across a problem you haven't practiced, you can analytically move through the mathematical processes he has taught you. He will try different approaches/examples until the light bulb clicks on. He is patient and gives you time to try to figure things out on your own or formulate a question. He is an excellent teacher, a diamond in the rough. We've had him a while now and have figured him into our budget as a necessity!!Grace, 12 lessons with Eric
Highly Recommended Math Tutor - Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Calculus
Eric has provided high school math tutoring for 2 of my children over the past 3 years, helping them with Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus BC. He is a wonderful tutor who goes beyond what is normally taught in class, providing a more in-depth explanation so they really understand the material (rather than just memorizing). He is an excellent teacher who is able to meet students where they are, take into account their learning style, and get them to where they need to be. Highly recommended.Pat, 99 lessons with Eric
Patient and thorough
Eric helped me so much with my Statistics course. He was incredibly patient with me, and if I didn't understand something, he went step by step to explain the reasoning to make sure I understood each step. I'll absolutely have Eric tutor me again. Thanks so much!Stephanie, 1 lesson with Eric
Incredibly knowledgeable and engaged.
Eric was so helpful! He quickly identified areas that my student needed to work on, while simultaneously building a rapport. I highly recommend Eric and am looking forward to continuing to have him work with my student!!Patricia, 6 lessons with Eric
Extremely smart and helpful
Eric was an amazing tutor. I was taking a statistics course focusing on regression during my spring college semester and my professor was absolutely awful. I tried reading the textbooks to teach myself but I still didn't understand the material. After only 5 sessions with Eric, I got an A in the class. I learned an entire semester's worth of material within a few days all thanks to him!Sahill, 5 lessons with Eric
Knowledgeable, Personable, Patient
Eric helped me understand variance and probabilities. He did a great job walking me through step by step of a problem making sure I understand the how and why. He also provided additional examples to help me better grasp the material. Highly recommend!Erin, 1 lesson with Eric
