Hi all! I’m Ben, a recently graduated computer scientist eager to use my education to help others find success and fulfillment in this exciting field through tutoring. I completed my Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2022 with a research focus on artificial intelligence for dialogue-enabled autonomous vehicles, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the same institution the year prior. My industry experience includes two internships at Texas Instruments, and I’ve additionally pursued programming/robotics as a hobby for the past decade.

Though my research focus was on artificial intelligence and natural language processing, I am also experienced in and confident to work with students in a breadth of topics in collegiate computer science curricula, including: programming fundamentals and languages (Python, C++, Java), discrete math, data structures, algorithms and complexity theory, digital signal processing, linear algebra, embedded systems, computer vision, control systems, and operating systems. As a recent graduate, I feel that I have a perspective and context which will be particularly useful to college students in the computer science field, though I would be delighted to work with anyone with an interest in the subject. As I am just beginning to do private tutoring, I am happy to offer a highly competitive rate.
