About James

Give your kids the chance to succeed by building their confidence in language and by igniting their passion to succeed and create!

Or simply to advance your or their abilities in reading and writing, as preparation for either secondary, college, or graduate preparatory exams.

A well-rounded individual knows how to work with others and to share their knowledge with their peers.

Literature, Writing, and the Arts (music and theatre) have been my life's work. Students, especially young ones, must be inspired at an early age for that inspiration to last a lifetime. In addition to my professional career in the arts, my work in literature, history, theatre, and music has included full and part-time positions with the University of Maine, Rutgers University, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and the City University of New York, where I received my doctorate. Learning should be fun, life-affirming, focused, and disciplined. Successful mentors can mean the difference between life-changing achievements and apathy.
