Helping students of all ages gain confidence and achieve their goals is my passion. All of my students report that they gain confidence when they work with me and attribute this to my unique, creative approaches and my open, caring nature. They say that because of their increased confidence in themselves, they make progress in English and other subjects, meet their professional objectives and grow significantly personally. A former student who is an Airbus executive writes: "As part of my training in the English language which is conducted throughout the year 2013, Christiana A. was my teacher. Those 28 individual training hours have allowed me to greatly improve my English skills. Naturally enthusiastic, very professional, showing great empathy, respectful work to people development, she knew to motivate me at every session. Christiana has an extraordinary agility of adaptation. Her knowledge on multiple subjects is simply amazing. She knows how to motivate us and spending every minute with her was a real intellectual pleasure. I hasten to encourage you to hire Christiana because she is one of the best teachers I have met in my long professional career."
My professional background includes twelve years as a management consultant for one of the world's largest firms, twelve years in non-profit management, and teaching both French and English. I have recently moved back to the United States from France, where I lived for nineteen years. Whether teaching English or French, preparing students for interviews and public speaking with a highly effective methodology I have developed over my career, coaching students for testing (TOEFL, TOEIC, and other standardized tests such as the SAT), I tailor my approach to each student. At our first meeting, we set objectives and discuss our work together. We then measure progress regularly. In qualitative and quantitative evaluations, all of my students report having achieved their objectives. I welcome the opportunity of working with you and helping you succeed!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
