I highly recommend David as a tutor. To say he is an excellent teacher is an understatement. Not only does he make learning difficult material fun he is able to effectively communicate advanced subjects with ease. I thoroughly enjoyed David's help throughout my semester long statistics course & he was always willing to help. After a few sessions with David I felt my confidence level rise and I was comfortable tackling class assignments and examinations. It is nice to know that there are tutors who sincerely care about their students success - and David is one of them!

I had to take a discrete math class for admittance into a computer science master's degree program. I had ordered the book and was concerned about the subject area. Being an adult student, I was also out of school for about 15 years. I looked for a tutor and found David (after going through two others), his way of explaining things just made sense and you knew that he knew discrete math fully. He could take the very abstract concepts and make them concrete. He was always available for questions, and never gave me the answer but helped me discover it on my own. I spent two hours a week with David all semester and then when I had an exam spent about an additional 6 hours. He would meet me anytime day or night even at 10 PM one night. I ended up with an A- in the class. Discrete Math is a very tough subject even if you have an engineering/technical background and this grade wouldn't have been possible without David.

Highly recommend David, and when I have a very theoretical class, I will go to him immediately.

The quality of the instruction was second to none. Excellent Tutor.

David is a great tutor. When I first started my statistics course I had a tremendous amount of fear about taking this class. David was able to alleviate my fears and make statistics more understandable. He is well versed on the subject matter and was very patient with me. It's not everyday that you find a tutor of this caliber. I would recommend David to any student who is struggling with statistics. He is the best way to go if you are looking for immediate and understandable results.

I recommend David! When I initially inquired for tutoring support, David was responsive and professional. I told him I had about 1.5 months to prepare for the GRE, and we booked our first session for the next day. While we primarily focused on the math portion of the exam, David provided recommendations on quickly learning the verbal. Overall, it was great to have someone to bounce questions off of and discuss steps to assist with exam preparation. I recommend David for tutoring support!

My daughter understood her algebra after working with David when she never quite understood with her teacher and a different tutor. He is clear and patient.

My son is thrilled to have found a tutor with such in-depth knowledge of his subject and who can convey that knowledge in an understandable format.

He was extremely helpful to me for my calculus II course. He is very patient and extremely knowledgeable in the subject. I can't thank him enough.

My son worked with David over a four week period to improve his score in Algebra Accuplacer test for college placement. After taking and not passing the test twice, the result of working with David was not just a "pass" but an 89. My son also has a learning disability which makes test taking all the more challenging. David was very patient and encouraging, and always tried to identify opportunities to tell him he was doing a good job. My son went into his test prepared and confident. I highly recommend David and we would not hesitate to work with him in the future.

David tutored my daughter this year in physics in preparation for the SAT II. He is an excellent tutor. He is great at explaining difficult concepts and very patient. He kept my daughter focused and interested. He was very efficient with his tutoring sessions. David was always on time and really easy to work with. I highly recommend David.

Yes, David is personable, professional, patient and more important he is able to clarify misunderstandings of material and goes over that material until it is clear to the student. In addition he goes back to the week before if he thinks that it is appropriate. I was delighted that David could see the fundamental weakness that lead to difficulty my daughter was having in Algebra. His review of the lesson each week was informative and timely.

My daughter felt that each lesson was beneficial. We look forward to his help for future math problems.

David is a fantastic tutor. He always arrives on time. He explains things very clearly and concisely. He has a very calm and patient disposition. It is a pleasure to work with him.

David G was a great tutor, he was very patient yet very thorough. He explained things very clearly

was very reachable and available. If there was anything he didn't understand during the session, even if it was the smallest thing, he would review at night and email me back a response very quickly. He didn't just tutor me, he basically taught me the course and is also very nice guy!

GRE
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have recently helped several students prepare for their ACT. These students were able to make particularly good progress with the Math and Science parts (they were already doing well with the other parts).

I love to see students make progress!

I have tutored ACT Science, and every student I worked with found the experience helpful.

ACT Science is a bit different from some of the other tests, and requires putting things together from different places, and making comparisons between different experiments that some students find challenging. I can work with students to help break some of the questions down into simpler pieces, show how some questions can be answered looking only at one experiment, and how to combine the experiments mentally to better answer the comparison questions.

I've worked with 5 Algebra 1 students over the past twelve months, all of whom have made significant improvements.

I teach mathematics at Husson University, and teach online classes Southern New Hampshire University and Bunker Hill Community College. I have an MS in mathematics from Tufts University, and hold a Massachusetts Secondary teaching certification in mathematics. I'm a member of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

I've worked with 6 Algebra 2 students over the past twelve months, all of whom have made significant improvements. Algebra 2 can be challenging for some students, as a solid foundation of Algebra 1 and, to a lesser extent, Geometry is important. I can solidify these foundations while helping students with the newer material.

I've tutored high school students in AP Calculus (AB and BC) and in honors calculus, and I've also tutored college students in first and second year calculus. All of these students have made good progress.

I have taught Discrete Mathematics at Southern New Hampshire University (online) for 9 terms.

I have taught finite mathematics at Southern New Hampshire University (online) and Bunker Hill Community College.

I've helped students in both Honors and College Prep geometry, including geometric transformation-based courses. Students in both proof-oriented and numerical-results-oriented geometry courses have made good progress working with me.

I have helped a student with intensive tutoring on the math ("Quantitative") part of her GRE - she was very pleased that her score improved and she was admitted to her choice of graduate school. I have also tutored the Verbal part of the exam. I am quite familiar with the exam, and personally scored 800 on both parts when I took the GRE in 2011.

I have successfully tutored Linear Algebra to two Boston University students and an MIT student.

In addition to tutoring students taking elementary and advanced Linear Algebra courses, I teach mathematics at Husson University, and teach online classes Southern New Hampshire University and Bunker Hill Community College.

I've previously taught high school physics for four years. I've tutored AP Physics B and C, Honors Physics, College Prep Physics, and Conceptual Physics for high school students. I've also tutored first year physics for college students.

I have taught Prealgebra topics to 7th and 8th graders, and also to adults. In particular, I have developed some techniques of teaching signed numbers by working with IOUs that many students have found helpful.

I've worked with 4 Precalculus students over the past twelve months, all of whom have made significant improvements.

I have taught probability at Quincy College and Southern New Hampshire University, as well as tutoring probability extensively to high school and college students. I teach mathematics at Husson University, and teach online classes Southern New Hampshire University and Bunker Hill Community College.

I have tutored students in SAT math level 1 and level 2 subject tests, and the students have made good progress. I can help with both math content and test-taking strategies for these particular tests.

I've tutored high school students in AP Statistics and college preparatory statistics, and I've also tutored college students in Statistics. I've also taught Statistics at Quincy College and am currently teaching Statistics at Husson University.

I've worked with 4 Trigonometry students over the past twelve months, all of whom have made significant improvements. Trigonometry is a bit different from Algebra because of its geometric roots and need for visualization of the situations involved. I can help by showing how to set up the relevant diagrams, and how to use them.
