I love working with and supporting students in both my classroom and with one-on-one tutoring. I have been an educator for the last eight years, teaching grades kindergarten, first and second grade. I began my career supporting students with special needs in both fourth and fifth grade. As of May, I finished my Master's in Abilities and Disabilities, and earned my gifted and talented endorsement. Each school year, I have worked with a wide range of students and have been dedicated to each of them as I see each student on their on learning continuum. It is essential for students to feel encouraged and see themselves for the strengths they have. I pride myself on building each of my students up so that they believe in their ability to succeed. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
