Over the years I have gained many experiences needed for the cognitive and physical development of a child. I worked for five years at Camp Winona teaching outdoor education, whitewater kayaking and Water Safety Activities and swimming. For years I was certified to teach practically every course offered by the American Red Cross. I have taught outdoor education programs at the University of Southern Maine to leadership workshops including North Yarmouth Academy.
Currently and for the past 16+ years I have been responsible for teaching video production classes for both the Community Television Network and YES TV. YES TV program works with youth in television where we teach all aspects of production from running a camera to producing and directing. I studied Elementary Education at the University of Southern Maine and although I did not complete my degree, I had wonderful opportunities to teach 4th and 5th graders. I am very outgoing and work very well with children. Having me as a choice for your child's enrichment would prove to be greatly beneficial. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
