I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Maine in 2015. Two and a half years later, I graduated with two Master's degrees from UMaine in Economics and Global Policy in 2017. I am currently and International Trade Specialist at the Maine International Trade Center. In total, I have six and one half years of college-level Economics experience and three years of experience as a teacher's assistant in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Small Business Management. Because I did such a good job as a teacher's assistant, the UMaine Economics department gave me the opportunity to teach my own Microeconomics course in my last semester of grad school.

I genuinely enjoyed my experience developing students' skills in Economics, Math, and Microsoft Excel as a teacher's assistant, but it was until I finished teaching my own course that I realized how much I actually enjoy teaching. It was truly rewarding to teach students and lead them through an entire semester's worth of Economics material to help them achieve their academic goals. I will bring the same level of dedication to my private tutoring that I had during my time as an instructor and very much look forward to helping you reach your goals! I am approachable, easy to talk to, will always respond in a timely manner, and welcome any suggestions or comments my students or their parents provide.

For a year and a half I co-taught a course called Small Business Management as a teacher's assistant. This course helped developed students' skills in Microsoft Excel so that they would be able to manage a small business. I first introduced students to the basics of Excel and then helped them develop skills with more advanced functions like Vlookup, If, graphing, and many more. Excel is an extraordinarily powerful tool and can be used for every subject, not just finance or economics. I have taken two graduate level Econometrics courses and am very comfortable with regression analysis and time-series analysis. These courses required the use of advanced mathematics which I developed as an undergrad. I am extremely comfortable with advanced mathematics and statistics.

I taught a college level Introduction to Microeconomics course and have three years of additional experience as a teaching assistant in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. I hold a Master's degree in Economics and have spent several weeks teaching Macroeconomics abroad in China. Not only do I have experience tutoring students one on one in Micro and Macro economics, but I also have a broad knowledge many different types of fields of Economics. If one of my students is interested in a specific field of economics, I will tailor my tutoring lessons so that my examples of material reflect my students' interests.

I will go above and beyond to ensure that my students receive a valuable educational experience. I will adjust the material I cover based on my students' interests but will also provide instruction on basic principles and theories that are required for college level courses and other real-world applications. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson. I very much look forward to working with you.
