I have my B.S. in elementary education and an M.Ed. in school counseling. I am currently certified in NH as a teacher, and and am finishing a program to be certified in Special education. I taught 5th grade for 2 years in a MA public school, worked for several years in preschool and have spent the last ten years as a reading tutor in both the public schools and privately. My trainings include certification as a Wilson Language instructor, trainings with Wilson Fundations, Fountas and Pinnell literacy coach and benchmark assessment from Lesley college, Read Naturally fluency assessment and instruction and Dibels for assessment. In math I have used the lower grades materials from Everyday Math.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I currently hold an New Hampshire Certification in Elementary Education, General Special Education, and school guidance counseling. I have taught reading to struggling students for over 20 years. My certification in elementary education in Maine is pending on fingerprinting. I have several letters of reference. I am certified in Wilson Language System.
I am certified in General Special Education in New Hampshire, and many of my past students has been diagnosed with ADHD.
