About Timothy

I am a gentle, patient teacher who enjoys bringing humor into lessons. This approach keeps everyone alert and relaxed, which is a great combination for learning that sticks! I am especially good with children and people with cognitive disabilities. I currently work with adults with cognitive disabilities, brain injuries and Cerebral Palsy, helping to develop life and social skills. I believe in setting realistic goals with a systematic, step-by-step roadmap for success.

I have taught elementary school in Brooklyn, New York and university students in Mississippi and St. Louis. My specialties include Oral Communication (Public Speaking), speech writing, literature, composition, study skills development, and all elementary subjects. I love to learn and believe that listening is the best way to teach. I am a creative tutor who will make the time seem to fly by while building confidence and competence.

I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Performance Studies at University of New Orleans and my Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Speech at Loyola University.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
