The Ohio State University (Biology)
**Please note I'm only able to tutor during college breaks, sorry!**
I'm going to be a junior at The Ohio State University. In high school, I tutored in my school's tutoring center for math up to Calculus AB, AP Government, and AP Biology. I am a biology major following a pre-med track and I would love to help you in any math classes up to Calculus AB (Algebra I, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, Calc I), General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biology/Genetics. I have a current 4.0 in college and I regularly helped students in my own classes for chemistry and math at school. I also work in an immunology lab so I have practical knowledge for biology/genetics. I absolutely love tutoring and have found that I have a strong intuitive understanding about student's needs and can put myself in a student's place to make sure I can be as effective and helpful as possible. I focus on guiding a student so he/she is equipped to be independent and confident with the subject matter after the tutoring session is complete. I really just want to help you and I will make sure that your entire potential is met. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions--help me help you!
I look forward to working with you!

Charu knew the topics and how to explain the topics of Algebra 2, and was very patient with my 16-year-old who is easily distracted. She asked for the specific topics ahead of time so was prepared with extra materials as well.
I read over 20-40 pages worth of knowledge in a Biology textbook and any questions I have she answers flawlessly no matter the difficulty. Would recommend to any student who's planning on taking Biology or is going to be taking it.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
