Saint Anselm College (History and Politics)
When I chose Saint Anselm College, I chose an institution devoted to providing a liberal arts education. I committed myself to a school that would emphasize not only local and national, but global engagement for its students, and encourages the pursuit of truth above all else. My exposure to this program at Saint Anselm College has helped me prepare to be a global player. It has driven me to seek out opportunities for higher thinking and international engagement. Saint Anselm College has introduced me to many kinds of political and historical thinking, which has helped me develop the ability to think broadly and solve problems creatively. I have achieved a high grade point average at an institution that expects the best because I am a hard worker and dedicated student.
I have always had an interest in education. In high school I was a teaching assistant to the fifth grade orchestra and served on my local school board. In college I volunteer time teaching English at an English for New Americans program and at an after school program called Bring it!, at which I help with homework and help students prepare for college. I think learning should always be fun, and I understand that everyone learns differently.
I love English! I love to read, and I think reading should be a way to explore new worlds. I have a lot of experience public speaking and would love to help students become more confident with the art.
I really enjoy studying European History. I have taken many courses on many different areas and look forward to exploring it with my students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
