I was on the math team at Brooklyn Technical High School where I was fortunate to be taught by some wonderful math educators, Dr. Rich, Mr. Glaubiger and Mr. Klein who were able to not only teach the material but to infect students with their love for the subject. I went on to study Math and Physics at Columbia and eventually received a PhD in Physics at Cornell University, studying under Physics luminaries and memorable teachers, Hans Bethe, and Kenneth Wilson. After working for a short...

Very patient! Gets right to business.
John is very kind and polite. My son really enjoyed being tutored by John. My son took to him right away and he was a lot more engaged with the math questions than he is at home. We look forward to the next session.

Prepared and Punctual
John helped me with my multivariable calculus course. He was well-prepared to answer the questions that I had forwarded to him a day before. I left with a better understanding of how to approach these questions and a better understanding of the concepts.

Great instructor, Very patient
I ask a lot of questions when I am confused and John is very patient he let me ask my question and if he could he would answer it right away or sometimes he would answer it by finishing what he was telling me about at that moment.

Math
John has been tutoring my son for about 5 months. He is extremely knowledgeable. He has had 100% correct on every single math problems he worked on with my son. I tried two other tutors prior to him and both of them struggled to understand the problems and so they were not able to teach the materials to him. If I can keep John as my son's tutor until he completes school I would!

Great AP Physics tutor
In our lesson we reviewed nodes and antinodes as well as a brief overview on waves. We also discussed closed vs open end systems and formulas. We talked about the Doppler effect and I understood the formula he taught me.

Patient and gentle approach for an ill child
My child unexpectedly felt ill just prior to the tutorial, yet she wanted to try to do the lesson. John gamely and gently went thru the material with her, even though she wasn't feeling well and thus was having difficulty concentrating. Although she wasn't able to make it through the whole lesson, she was very happy with John and was able to learn quite a bit despite feeling so poorly.

Excellent and patient Tutor
John has been a great help to me for my college physics class. He knows physics inside and out and is extremely patient in explaining concepts as many times as needed, in different ways, until I understand. Very reliable, always punctual, and extremely kind! I would absolutely recommend him to others. I don't know how he does it, but he has a way of simplifying things better than my college professor! That says a lot right there. There is no way I could continue this class without his help. After just one session with him and you will see what I mean. Thanks John!
