I am originally from Ivory Coast, a French language speaking country. I graduated in 1994 as a French teacher. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I will make you love the French language helping you to acquire perfect reading and writing skills in about 4 weeks. If you are a student (professionals, adults, gifted children) willing to learn faster than others, you are in the excellent hands.
I have had the opportunity and privilege of attending the University of Cocody in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), the best language school in the West Africa. Also I am a native French speaking teacher with a perfect accent.
I was a French teacher at Charles County Public Schools (Westlake HS and LaPlata HS 2007-2009). In regard to my style of teaching, I use the visual, oral and writing approach. I believe one is just as important as the other to try acquire the learning of the language.
I also ask that the student take the opportunity to go out to French restaurants or to watch French movies and translate in English. It is fun to learn a foreign language with a professional.
I look forward to being able to help any student succeed in the language and hope that they will gain more than just the ability to speak in class but apply it one day when they venture to Paris. There was a lesson plan, and the delivery was pretty great. A nice approach for real beginners in the French language.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
