I’m Ola, A graduate student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I graduated with Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Basic Medical Science (Major in Anatomy and Physiology), thereafter I got admitted into medical school where I had my medical degree in the renowned University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. Medical School is one of the most exciting and interesting moments of my life because I was trained by professors who are passionate about knowledge and these professors ensured that we learned and enjoyed every single topic in all subjects. They made use of both active and passive learning methods to mold us into future tutors. These methods helped me to perform excellently in my USMLE STEP1, USMLE STEP 2CK, and USMLE Step 2CS reflecting my tutoring style.

During tutoring, I tend to also apply both active and passive learning techniques in disseminating knowledge to my students and I engage them in every single aspect of the teaching material and at the same time ensure that they enjoy every single moment we spent together.

I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in the medical field with subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Pathology. I can also tutor Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Psychiatry for the USMLE STEP 2 CK.

I tend to go a long way in helping a student that needs additional help, I would love to help my students to understand as much as possible the subjects and also ace their respective tests. I am also very much open to suggestions from student or parent with respect to teaching style or additional resources. I believe that everyone is a potential genius and we can all achieve our full potential!
