I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) TEFL certified teacher. I have spent the last 3 years teaching abroad in South America and I am passionate about helping students meet their language goals whether they are learning English or Spanish. I believe that all students have the ability to learn and be successful when provided with the right tools.
I have 5 years of experience teaching English to Speakers of other languages. I have taught both abroad (in Colombia and Argentina) and at home to students ranging from kindergarten to adult learners. I hold a TEFL/TESOL certification and I have experience with English curriculum development. I enjoy working one on one with students to help them achieve their language goals.
I have spent nearly 4 years living and working in South America as a Language Instructor (in Argentina and Colombia respectively). I received a ranking of Superior (the highest possible ranking) by the United States Peace Corps when assessed my Spanish was assessed. I have also taught teaching methodology classes in Spanish to future primary educators in Colombia. I enjoy working one on one with students to help them achieve their language goals.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
