University of the District of Columbia (Business Admin.)
I graduated from College with an Associate in Information Systems and a Bachelors in Business Administration. After college I enrolled in an Oracle Database training course and got certified as an Oracle Certified Associate. Instantly, I developed a personal interest for database management and I believe that knowledge and experiences are acquired to be shared. I began offering tutoring session to other college students and adult interested in Oracle, SQL and other relational database, such as Microsoft Access, which has proven to be very rewarding to assist others in excelling in the field.
Over the last 8 years, I've been privileged to have a career as an Oracle Database Administrator working on Oracle and Microsoft Access VBA databases. I have also taught as a SQL instructor with an Oracle training institution. I believe in bringing simplicity to a complex subject and making it relatable to my students. In the process of teaching and tutoring, I've come to realize that individual learning pace and mode of assimilating varies, so my lesson plans and methods are personalized to ensure the success of my students.

I had several tutoring sessions with Emmanuel to help me with my Database Management Systems class. Emmanuel is patient, clear in his explanations, flexible and efficient. I learned important concepts with him. And I highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
