Dana received a bachelor degree of English Literature from Damascus University and an Oxford Certificate in Teaching Young Learners. She is currently pursuing her master degree in Education. She has been in the teaching field for 13 years. She is an interpreter for the International Rescue Committee for Refugees and has been an Arabic Instructor at Towson University. She has tutored many students privately for the past 13 years, several of whom were non-native speakers and are now fluent public speakers and readers.
Her passion is teaching others her native language due to its rich and expressive nature. She enjoys exposing others to the intricate structure and meaning of the Arabic language. In addition to teaching oral and written Arabic language skills, Professor Ibrahim brings a middle eastern atmosphere into her classroom through an introduction to the food, music, and everyday culture.
I am a native Arabic speaker and have a passion for teaching the unique language and culture with students of all ages, with age-appropriate lessons and activities that makes learning fun and interactive.
