Are you looking for an excellent teacher of French and English? Take advantage of this opportunity and get someone to solve your urgent problems. As a teacher of English and French, I have lived and worked in the heart of a French-speaking country for more than 20 years, teaching in bilingual school set-ups whether it is the public schools or the university. Living and schooling in the US has helped to broaden my scope in the American culture and the art of language teaching. No student gets distracted in my class because we soon become one person seeking the same goal - the students success. I am governed by a very high sense of adaptability to all classroom situations. And so, I understand when the student is disposed to absorb his lessons and when he is not for, I was schooled very well in psychology. Besides, I have a very good sense of humor.
The most outstanding quality of a teacher is the ability to achieve lesson objectives and the best way to verify this is when the student is able to respond positively to his questions with some self-satisfaction. The rest of it is how he wants to go about achieving this goal. A consciousness of this leaves the teacher with no other alternative but to prepare his lessons well. To do this, he must first of all know his subject matter. Knowing the subject matter is mandatory. To be plunged into doubt is the worst attitude a teacher can exhibit before a student. We may summarize the above as follows:
1- Knowledge of subject matter
2- Knowledge of the student to whom it is to be impacted (level, age, psychological circumstances, the ambitions of the student, time constraints, his level of motivation etc)
3- Formulation of objectives
4- Conception of methods
5- Acquisition of teaching materials
6- Effective lesson delivery
Throughout my career which walked me through public schools to university, I have studied how to identify student needs and to try to fulfill them within the possibility of time, place setting and the mitigating circumstances as a whole without however presuming that what works in one situation or with one individual will work for the other. It is important for a teacher to be able to treat every student as a unique individual with his own personal motivations. It is not possible for any effective learning to take place if the student lacks confidence in the teacher.
Put simply, a good teacher should have a sense of purpose, expect his students to succeed and work hard towards that goal, be tolerant and patient for we are in a human world dealing with humans and not machines or robots, be willing to adapt and change to meet student needs, have good knowledge of subject matter,
constantly reflect on the work of students, learn from a variety of models and
enjoy the work of his students.
Teaching is an art which I believe I master and I always leave both my students and employers totally amazed.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
