I am a teacher in the Maryland Public School system who understands the need for additional outside school help for students in a wide array of situations. I have spent the last three years in public education teaching and am certified 6-12 in History, Math, and English and have access to a wide variety of materials, studying techniques and knowledge to help students excel in their education goals.
Each student and their needs are individual. Identifying trouble areas and building skills to help students close knowledge gaps increases success as material becomes more difficult. In my tutoring sessions I will work with students to assess these gaps and create individual learning plans and instructional activities to help support growth and skill building in these areas. I look forward to working with you to help you meet your academic goals. Welcome students!

Becky makes math interesting. We make up our own silly math problems that allow me to practice, but have fun at the same time.
Rebecca helped my daughter study for her final exam in trigonometry. She helped her understand concepts she had previously been confused about, and my daughter feels much more confident and prepared.
Rebecca is an excellent tutor. Her ability to help students who have struggled with math for a long time is amazing! My son is now interested in math and understanding far more than ever. I would absolutely recommend her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
