I am an international teacher, having started my career 16 years ago in my home country, Jamaica. I have guided students to success in the Caribbean English exams both at the high school and college level.
I began my career in the USA in Prince William County, Virginia, there I garnered experience in tutoring, which includes home tutoring. After five years in Virginia, I transitioned to Washington DC, where I have begun my fifth year at Chavez Schools for Public Policy, a charterrol institution. There I have taught and tutored grade 12 students, preparing them in writing and reading for SAT as well as college. For me, I believe that students learn best by discovery. I give students the space to work through all difficulties, using strategies learned.
I look forward to assisting you, and helping you to develop your reading and analytical skills.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
