With over a decade of teaching experience at DC-area independent schools, I am familiar with a wide-range of math and language arts programs and strategies. Whether your student needs tutoring in a specific subject, a refresher on a particular concept, assistance getting organized, or just some extra work to boost their confidence, I can provide the necessary help. I have a great sense of humor and pride myself on finding creative ways to reach students.

I have experience with enVision Math, Everyday Math, and Singapore Math. I love helping students find the strategies that work best for them as learners.

I love fostering a love of reading and am just as comfortable working with students who are learning to read as I am with those who are reading to learn.

I have twelve years of experience teaching in grades K-2, plus tutoring experience with older elementary students.

I am excited to begin seeing more clients and helping meet their needs as students.

I taught first grade for four years at St. John's Episcopal School in Olney, MD. I then spent three years as a lead kindergarten teacher at Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, MD. Then I moved up to teach second grade at Washington Episcopal where I worked for four years. Outside of the classroom, I have worked with students in a variety of areas (handwriting, phonics/spelling, reading, math, social studies, study skills/organization, and social skills).
