I've often taught friends how to improve their images, in a gentle, encouraging way that made them understand they could shoot wonderful pictures. My philosophy about photography is, "It's not rocket science." If I can do it, you can. Seriously. Don't stress too much. And don't worry about shooting it like I do. Worry about shooting it like you want to. I'm just there saying, "You can do it."
I also want to teach you the art of photography. Learn to see first, before worrying about equipment and software. You can take a great picture with a bad camera, or a bad picture with a great camera. I'd prefer the first choice. But I'll also show you how to buy the best equipment for you. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
