In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a certified teacher in special education for grades K-12. I am currently a special education teacher for Stephen Decatur Middle School for the grade 8. I co-teach inclusive classrooms with a general education teacher in addition to teaching intensive classrooms for students with different gifts.

Special Needs

I am a special education teacher for Prince George's Public County Schools. I co-teacher classrooms with general education teachers for inclusive classrooms in addition to teaching intensive classrooms for LD, ED, Autistic, Down Syndrome, Aspergers, and physically handicap students. I am a certified teacher in the state of Maryland for teaching Special Education for grades K-12.
