Mathematical Statistician with experience conducting statistical analysis, interpreting results, and writing reports. Skilled programmer with expertise in SAS, Splus, R, Excel, and C.
My solid experience as an educator has provided me with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical issues to other types of audiences besides scientists. My experience as an educator includes teaching positions at Lane Community College; the University of Oregon; Purdue University, and Arizona State University. I have a record of success teaching across a broad range of learner abilities, incorporating technology in the classroom and labs, and developing course content and method of presentation. Also, although I didn’t complete a PhD in mathematics, I was enrolled in a PhD program for 4 years during which I develop a level of mathematical maturity that has been extremely beneficial for my work as a statistical consultant. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
