In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
A 15 year accomplished pitcher and student of the game, I have played softball at all levels including travel ball, high school varsity and college. I served as the pitching coach at Wesley College for 2 seasons and was the head Varsity softball coach at a local high school last year. My personal accomplishments are NJCAA Division I first team all region 2007, Team MVP 2009-2010, All conference highlighted player of the week, All conference most valuable pitcher 2003, All-Conference MVP 2004, First team all conference (high school) 2001-2004, Varsity team MVP 2001-2004. I took weekly pitching instruction for over 11 years by a well known pitching instructor and spent countless hours in personal hitting and fielding instruction over my years as a student of the game. Most recently I played in a competitive women's fast pitch travel league up until last year, when I took the season off to get married.
