I am currently an employee at the City of Gaithersburg, and I work as the primary History specialist for the middle school students. Additionally, I have worked with ESOL students at Gaithersburg High School, working on reading, writing, and speaking.

I love teaching and tutoring, watching students grow is one of the most rewarding parts on my interactions with them. I use patience and understanding to ensure my students have an environment to succeed. I am comfortable helping students from grades 6-12.

I passed Methods of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) with an A for the course. Additionally, I have had over 2.5 years of tutoring and in-class volunteering for ESOL students ranging from levels 2-5.

I graduated Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.6 from UMBC with a Bachelor's Degree in History. I have assisted middle school students for 2.5 years with history at the Olde Towne Youth Center. I have advanced skills in Disciplinary Thinking Skills and Concepts of Social Studies. Lastly, I have experience in writing lesson plans that follow Maryland State Curriculum Standards.

Please contact me if any of these strengths match your needs as I am always willing to working with any level of student!
