University of Maryland (Biology)
Georgetown University (Master's)
I just graduated with my Master's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University and am currently working as a biomedical researcher at the National Institutes of Health and at the Food and Drug Administration. I graduated high school at 15 years old and college at 19. I am very energetic and engaging.
I have been a tutor for more than four years and have experience working in a classroom setting. I worked at a learning center for almost two years. There, I taught math and English. At my undergraduate college, I worked as a tutor. I mainly taught biology, chemistry, and math. Although, math and science are my specialties, I am competent in all school subjects. However, what makes me a good tutor is my patience and attention to the student's skill level. I do not go too fast and explain concepts in simple terms. I always challenge the student and always keep them thinking. If you want a person who makes learning fun just send me a message! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
