I have been teaching film and video production as a university/college professor (grad and undergrad level) for the last 8 years and I have been a consultant in filmmaking for the last 15 years. I have mentored emerging and experienced filmmakers (young and old) at all stages of the production cycle. Films that have been mentored by me have been broadcast on television, participated successfully in film festivals, won awards and have secured distribution.
Filmmaking is like speaking a language and everybody who wants to speak that language and articulate a story by developing and ultimately directing and producing it, should know about video production and the craft of filmmaking: film grammar, sequencing and storytelling techniques. All of this is necessary in order to tell visual attractive and meaningful stories. In today’s world everybody can take a camera and shoot, but knowing the craft of filmmaking makes the whole difference. A trained person in film and video production plans, films and edits better than people who have not received that training.
I am specialized in teaching film and video production, film language, film grammar, storytelling strategies and editing techniques for fiction and non-fiction films. In addition, I am very experienced and qualified to teach the hands-on technology aspects of video production as well because I have been a film and video producer, director and editor for the last 20 years. Since 2008, I am running my own video production company and I have produced, directed and edited more than 8 long format award winning documentaries all broadcast on national public television.
It is my passion to help filmmakers with their projects or getting emerging filmmakers started. So, if you want to improve your video producing skills, or if you are already working on a project and you need help to bring your film to the next stage, get in contact with me.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
