My approach to almost all subjects is to analyze and understand all the aspects of the subject matter, decompose complex topics into sub-components, and find a successful solution.

I challenge my students to think in new and unconventional ways. There is always humor, wisdom, and encouragement to make the lessons enjoyable and non-conventional.

I have lived in Israel and the United States, and have native fluency at a collegiate level in both languages.

I have held senior computer systems management and engineering positions in Tadiran LTD, McDonnell Douglas, NASA, U.S. Postal Service, and HP/Compaq Computer Corporations. I was on the team that provided 24x7 computer and SAN support for all VA Hospitals. I also provided computer and SAN support the FDA.

I have also served as a Certified Hebrew Linguist for the FBI and DEA. I have taught Hebrew, Judaics, and provided Bar/Bar Mitzvah lessons to numerous children at several synagogues, Hebrew schools, and provided private tutoring. I have the most advanced Hebrew/English publication facilities and provide Bar/Bat Mitzvah training materials with all Hebrew subtleties distinguished by typography and color (ie kamatz kattan, sheva nach and na, shin and sin, mapiq, etc.). I also build interactive study guides to help students use computer based training to improve their success and fun as they master their lessons.

Photography

I took advanced photography classes at the University of Minnesota. I attended the Nikon school. I have been involved in photography for over thirty years. I have owned a dozen Nikons over the years with lenses ranging from fisheye, Nikon 55 micro f3.5, numerous zoom lenses, all the way to the Nikon 500mm mirror lens. I have built multiple darkrooms, printed black& white and color (cibachrome). I did underwater photography all along the Red Sea while it was still under Israeli control. I used both a Nikon underwater camera and Ikelite underwater housings for my Nikon conventional cameras. While being principal system manager for the USPS (NDSS project), I produced all of my documentation including technical photographs and used Adobe Photoshop extensively. I have gone from Photoshop 4.0 to the current CS5. I have since entered the digital world with a Fuji S2 which is a modified Nikon that accepts all of my lens, flashes, and accessories going back 30+ years. As an engineer, I also have a very strong background in the technical aspects of photography.

Hebrew

I am an Israeli and American citizen, fluent in both Hebrew and English at a collegiate level. I was recently tested for a possible position as a Hebrew/English linguist for the FBI by Alta ITS testing company. On a scale of 5 where the minimum requirement for receiving work is 3, I received a 4 in English and 4+ in Hebrew. This is considered an excellent score. I have taught Hebrew at numerous places over my career. I also served as a certified Hebrew/Linguist linguist for the FBI and DEA. One of my specialties is teaching children for the Bnai Mitzvah (Bar & Bat Mitzvah). I provide each student with a personalized training manual printed in beautiful unambiguous Hebrew that is not available anywhere else. Please see the example photo which demonstrates my 21st Century publication capabilities. Using color coding, modified fonts, and advanced word processing capabilities, each student receives a personalized trainer. In additional, I also provide an Interactive Trainer where the student chooses the lesson subject and then the appropriate verse and finally whether to play the verse in "READ", "CHANT SLOWLY", CHANT NORMALLY", or "CHANT EXPERT" mode. The video can be played repeatedly until the student masters the material. Also, the video shows the text and plays the appropriate audio. The software is designed for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.

Very enjoyable lesson

Holly has enjoyed her lessons. She worked today on the Hebrew alphabet flashcards, which are very practical and helpful. She looks forward to speaking Hebrew better and I am grateful to have added a new project that isn't overwhelming for her.

Highest recommendation

Mr Eliezer M. has done an outstanding job working with a challenging young teenager. He has been more than patient in dealing with educational and emotional aspects of tutoring. To stimulate interest, Mr M. incorporates life experiences with his educational techniques. He has gone above and beyond conventional tutoring with preparations, computer programs, and a printed specific syllabus -- all done on his own time. He is always prompt and offers good feedback regarding lesson progress. Mr M. receives my highest recommendations and I wish him continued success.
