I have a Master of Arts in Management with a minor in Human Resources and Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Notre Dame of Maryland University; an Associate of Arts in Engineering from the Community College of Baltimore County; holder of a Master Plumbing license; Master Gasfitter license and I hold a Master Trainer certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research.
I have been teaching a variety of subjects and concepts for over fifteen years and I have a many experiences in the education, business and construction fields to draw from to make the needed connection with the student. Specifically, I have been teaching GED courses for over ten years, specializing in math concepts of fractions, decimals, percents, algebra and geometry. I have tutored students in a "one-on-one" environment in algebra and geometry. The student's grades rose dramatically.
I have also taught math to employees in a business setting. I set up a class environment so the employees could brush up on math and reading concepts before their work day started. Many advanced in the workplace.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
