Prince Georges Community College (Other)
In this area I am going to show you how I can effectively teach you. First: I have 20 years of experience as a professional senior MS Access full cycle developer. In my course you will learn MS Access development from concept to completion. This includes data modeling, SQL, VBA code, user friendliness, forms, reports, queries, testing and all other aspects of full cycle development. This will enable you to create complete programs. Note: This is not "Access for Dummies". The books you get from the store don't teach you how to do professional work in the real world. I will do this. I will teach you better than any college or trade school teacher because I give "real world" experience. You will, by the end of the course, be able to create programs from scratch that will meet or exceed the expectations of any employer. Library books just can't do that for you. They will often teach you unskilled ways of doing things because the writers apparently don't have any professional experience in the real work place. You can't learn from amateurs. You can't even learn from the creators of MS Access because they don't real know real world programming. You need to be mentored by a professional like me with 20 years of real-world programming experience that will enable you to create real world computer database programs.
What makes me able to teach you? First: I know my subject very well. I remember the path I took to learn my skills from scratch. In fact, I can actually teach many subjects. I can teach computer programming because I have been doing it for 20 years. I can teach you how to create and operate a business because I created and ran a pest control company for 20 years in my earlier days. (I was a successful entrepreneur but felt computer programming was a good choice to go to at the time when computers were very young). I have a degree in Business Administration. This translates into the ability to teach students all the way up to the 12th grade in most grade school subjects. In addition I am able to teach them how to make money in a real world by using their own will power and entrepreneurial spirits. I am also able to teach because of two other things: I am a published writer of two books, so I have writing skills. I spent 12 years participating in a speaking club and made many presentations to groups of potential customers while I was in the pest control business. I was always making telephone sales and speaking with people in person one on one. Therefore my ability to communicate comes from education and many years of practice. Communication, speaking and writing are my fortes but, to cap it off, I even know sign-language for the deaf! Using my advanced skills, about 5 years ago I started a business where I have been actively soliciting and teaching new students in the evenings, on weekdays and on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday morning over the Internet.
I invite you to write me if you have any questions. I will do my best to respond by email or by telephone. I remind you: all business transactions must be handled through WyzAnt. Greetings:

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I owned a vending machine business when I was only 16. When I turned 18 I started a professional pest control business, Termipest Inc., which I ran successfully for 20 years. I decided to change careers to take advantage of the new technology of computers. I taught myself computer programming and now have 20 years of experience in "real world" programming. I have a degree in Business Administration. All of the databases created will be for businesses who need databases that require skills in accounting and business concepts.
Greetings. I have been an expert in MS Access for 20 years. My accomplishments have been wide spread. I built the databases for the U.S. Small Business Admin in Washington DC and for Smiths Aerospace, among about 20 other prestigious companies. I am also a well trained communicator, having taken advanced training in oral and written communication. I am well practiced in teaching others.
My method off teaching is to help you learn by doing. We will build a database together from scratch, one that you can use for yourself and give to friends. Then we'll build one that is more complex. We will have different levels of complexity until you are a professional programmer in MS Access. These databases can then be market to customers I'll show you how to acquire. You can then use this on a resume to sway recruiters to submit your resume to their clients.
I will stay with you after you learn the lessons and will submit your resume to as many as 660 recruiters throughout the U.S. or in your locality. I will show you how to market yourself and how to get to be known by recruiters.
Please consider using my service. It is about 1/4 the price you would pay by going to college classes in the subject or going to a trade school.
I spent 12 consecutive years going once a week, 16 weeks out of the year, to participate in the Ambassador Spokesmans Club. I graduated after 4 years then repeated the course. I then joined a newly formed Graduates Club to enhance my skills.
I have used my skills to give presentations to real estate offices and to make telephone sales calls. I went door-to-door selling my services.
When I was 16 I solicited over the telephone for a newspaper. I have been practicing public speaking for most of my life. I'm 59 now and well acquainted with the art of oral communication. I have also read many books on the subject like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Oh, yes. I know how to do public speaking. I have been doing it for a very long time. I have recently had students I taught over the Internet through Skype. One was in India!
I am also the author of two fiction books that were published by a company that accepts only 2 percent of the submissions. I am uniquely qualified to communicate both verbally and with the written word.
I also took a Speech and Communication course in college as part of my associates degree in Business Administration.
In addition to that I have had many occasions to hear public speakers and learn how they capture the audience. I know all their "tricks" and techniques to keep their attention. I know the psychology of communication very well.
