Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

After receiving my Masters degree in Elementary Ed, I worked for a decade in both public and private schools. During that time, I worked with many students exhibiting attentional difficulties. I have worked closely with special education teachers and private tutors to ensure these students received the best educational experiences possible. Each student with ADD/ADHD needs an individualized plan to help meet his or her specific learning needs.

Elementary (K-6th)

After receiving my master's degree, I taught fourth and fifth grade for eight consecutive years. During that time, I gained experience teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies to students of varying abilities. This included teaching below grade level classes as well as enrichment classes for students one to two grades ahead of their peers. I am passionate about the elementary grades and truly enjoy watching students grow and develop during these critical years.
