About Anna

Throughout my 13 years of teaching experience, I've been working with students with various culture backgrounds and different learning styles in a wide range of ages. There's nothing more rewarding than witnessing the growth and energy in my class. It only reinforces my passion for teaching, and I would love to continue this journey with WyzAnt.

Learning is easier when you have someone who can lead you when you need directions. I found my calling in teaching long time ago, and I haven't had any doubts about my decision. I've finished my Master's program in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) 4 years ago. It better equipped me to help my students with their learning process. I've learned how to assess learners' needs, how to adapt different learning strategies, and how to give effective evaluations.

I would love to help you with your study. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ESL/ESOL

I have a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Anaheim University. I have taught ESL for over a decade. I have worked with international students in Towson University and Morgan State University in Maryland in USA, helped them preparing TOEFL, and academic writing.

Grammar

I majored in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in my graduate school. The training I have received included how to teach grammar concept, application, and error correction. I also taught an English grammar course in Towson University in Maryland for over two years.

Korean

I was born and raised in Korea. I have experiences teaching Korean to speakers of other languages in city of Seoul. Korean is very systematic and scientific language, so it is rather easy to learn if you have the right tool. From day to day conversation to academic goal to business, it starts with the first step of learning Han-gul, the written language of Korean. Plus, I can teach the language with interesting history and culture. I finished my Master's program in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) 3 years ago.
