Lancaster Bible College (Biblical Studies)
I have received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies, with a concentration in Youth Ministry, May 2013 Within my course of Study, I have obtained Twenty-one credit hours of Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing the 90 Hour Childcare Certification for the State of Maryland. My experience goes back to when I was in college. I did assignment where I have created lesson plans on Bees and how they make honey and on the reason for the writing of Declaration of Independence. I have also done teaching every 3rd Sunday at my church, Life Church, in Upper Marlboro, MD. I love working with kids and helping them to think. In college, I was greatly influenced by the 1940 child psychologist Jean Piaget's theory that children are not just empty vessels that one can just stuff in formation into, but are instead the own thinkers and learners that come up with solutions to problem through assimilation and accommodation. I hope to bring that out of your children. One of the methods I hope to use in teaching your children in the use of the old School House Rock video series on Multiplication, Science, American History, and Grammar; basically addressing the Musical-Naturalistic intelligence of children, which I find to be catchy and really fun. However, I am willing to also address any Logical-Mathematical, Visual Spatial, Verbal Linguistic, or Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence that your child might have; for I understand that not every child learns the same way. I do look forward to hearing from you getting the chance to make learning fun for you child.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken two classes in Methods of Teaching Bible at Washington Bible College. I have been both assistant and head teacher of 3rd-6th grade Sunday School. I also have taken classes in Youth Ministry and my major was Biblical Studies.
