I am school and working towards earning a degree in art education. I currently volunteering for an art teacher at an elementary school, where I help the instructor teach the lessons, and helping the students in making their projects.
I have had about two years tutoring students, only in the elementary age level so far. I love being part of my student's process of finally understanding new concepts and seeing students gain enough confidence to read new material or tackle on more complex problems as the time goes on.
I have been on the Honors roll my entire school career so far and am currently in the Honors program at my college so I that the best trick to getting good grades is studying. I also understand that different types of students need to study in different ways. I help my students learn and study while taking account for how it is they learn best.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
