At the college level, I tutor all levels of Algebra and Statistics. I currently tutor students from all area private and public schools at all levels, including Gifted and Talented. I can explain math concepts in easy to understands terms. I understand the different ways students learn and can use appropriate methods to ensure success. I have experience with all ages - elementary, middle school, high school, college, and adults returning to the classroom after a long absence. I love math, but I understand that many of my students do not! I can make math easier, and you may be surprised with some fun along the way.
I am available for either one-time refreshers - if you are preparing for a test, for example - or for weekly sessions that last the year, the semester, or a few weeks. Summer is a great time to get a refresher, or to prepare for the next math class. Let me know how I can help you!
All tutoring takes place at the Cockeysville Library. I also offer online tutoring, so please ask if you are interested. In addition to the hourly published rate, WyzAnt will add a 9% processing fee.
I graduated with honors from Bryn Mawr College and earned my Master's Degree from the University of Baltimore.
You are good at math, perhaps you just don't know it yet.
Extremely helpful tutor
Cornelia M. helps me with Algebra 2. After spending 90 minutes in my Algebra 2 class at school, I was completely confused. After I spent 60 minutes with Cornelia M., I understood everything that was presented in class. She's very patient and explains the material extremely well. I always understand the material after working with her.Sarah, 18 lessons with Cornelia

Patient and positive tutor
My girls feel very comfortable with Cornelia and she is great at breaking down the problems in ways they can understand. She is positive and patient with both of them and their different learning styles.Anne, 10 lessons with Cornelia
knowledgeable and helpful
She is very patient and makes learning math enjoyable. She helped my son with his math problems by suggesting he plan his approach to each problem which was very helpful. This allowed him to be able to do other problems on his own successfully and gave him more confidence in math. She was very punctual (in fact she was there early). Thank you very much, Cornelia. We would definitely call her again if needed.j, 1 lesson with Cornelia

Cornelia was excellent-just what my son needed! He transferred schools mid-year and needed to fill in some gaps. He met with Cornelia a few times and ended the semester with an excellent grade and mastery of the material! I highly recommend.Kelly, 4 lessons with Cornelia
