I have many years of experience teaching and tutoring all aspects of mathematics in French and in English. My journey start in Africa, where I have helped many students take the fear out of mathematics presenting Calculus, Algebra, and probability as game for which you just need to know the rules and the rest is to play.
Later on, at UMBC, University of Maryland in Baltimore County, where I was student in Master of Mathematics, I have tutored students in computer science and undergraduate school of mathematics. I have an unforgettable example of one of my students who has graduated with an associate degree in computer science. I have knowledge and experience simplifying complex subjects as trigonometry, Integration, derivation, geometry. Also I enjoy teaching to solve simple first degree equations and showing their applications in everyday life to a 7th grade student. Even more interesting I can help understand the use of trigonometric functions without memorizing them. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
