About Gabrielle

Hello/Bonjour !

My name is Gabrielle and I am a language educator. My goal in life is to create cultural bridges throughout the community. I feel that one of the greatest gifts is my ability to share my knowledge with others. In sharing my passion for language and writing, I have different many tips and tricks that helps students improve their own language studying skills and abilities.

With a Master's degree in secondary education, English as a Second Language, and a Bachelor's degree in French, I offer a great engaging learning experience for all of my students. In addition to my years of language study in the U.S., I have also studied in Morocco and France, which greatly enhanced my language skills. I have experience teaching ESL, French, and Spanish to all different ages ranging from elementary students to adults.

For each lesson, I create engaging, rigorous, and personalized lessons for my students in order to help them achieve their linguistic goals. With that said, my motto is to keep learning fun! I am open to using different methods of teaching in order to accommodate students' learning styles. I look forward to teaching, learning, and exploring with you very soon!

Best,
Gabrielle

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have enjoyed working with kids my entire life; whether it is volunteering with a summer camp or after school mentoring, kids are one of my biggest priorities. I feel that it is vital to encourage their study skills and creativity at a young age to better prepare them for further endeavors. In elementary school, I was an outstanding student, which has helped me with my studies thus far in my academic career. I am proficient in several areas of study including elementary English, math, history, art, Spanish and French. Therefore, I am thrilled to challenge young students with interesting lesson plans to keep them a step ahead in the classroom!

ESL/ESOL

I am a professional educator with a Master's degree in ESL and Secondary Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language (French). I love teaching foreign languages to non native speakers and offering linguistic skills to help bridge the gap of communication!

French

I am a French teacher with a B.A. in French. I lived in Morocco for 1 year speaking French and attended 2 rigorous language intensives in southern France.

Vocabulary

I use excellent immersive and engaging strategies to help learners develop their vocabulary, and offer tools to help with language retention.

Writing

I enjoy using my linguistic expertise to help develop expressive skills in other writers. I offer detailed grammatical knowledge, technical writing skills, proofreading and editing.
