I am a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a degree in Musical Theatre. I love working with new students and helping them find a passion for singing! I try to make each lesson unique to the student by finding what interests them and incorporating that into every lesson while still learning proper technique. I take the time to evaluate the needs of each individual student so that I may find the most effective way to teach them. Every student is different so I make sure my teaching style reflects that. I think outside the box and celebrate the successes of my students because as a teacher I am only as successful as my students. I strive to make sure each student is doing the best they can and reaching their full potential.

Emily meet with my anxious kid before the class to help her understand how voice lessons work and made her feel very comfortable. She was very prompt in her communications and even suggested that we start with half hour lessons and increase the duration later. She was very flexible with the lesson plan and patient with us and my daughter loved her first lesson in our home. Emily is a joy to work with.
Emily has been a delightful tutor to my daughter (8 years old) for the past 3 months. My daughter is more confident in her singing. Emily arrives to lessons on time and sometimes stays late to work with my daughter on Emily's own time. I know that Emily really cares about her students and encourages them to try new things with their singing.
I feel very lucky to have Emily to teach my daughter voice lessons!
I have been teaching piano for two years and I currently have ten students. I only teach beginning piano and we work out of the Faber "My First Piano Adventure" series. My students work on learning music theory, piano, and also just a love for music.
I have worked as a one-on-one to students with special needs for over four years through the Bucks County IU and another organization. I currently teach private voice lessons to multiple students with special needs. While I worked one-on-one with students we did a variety of tasks depending on the level of the student.
I have a Bachelors of Music, The Catholic University of America. My teaching experience includes The International School of Music.
I am an established musical theater performer in the Washington DC metro area. An alumna of The Catholic University of America’s Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, I earned my degree in Musical Theatre and performed in The Annunciation. Most recently I performed as Jessie in Elmo Rocks at Sesame Place, produced by Sea World Parks and Entertainment. Past roles include Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. I currently teach voice at The International School of Music and maintain a private studio. With my background in Musical Theatre, I like to incorporate different acting techniques to help my students grow as both a singer and a performer. As a teacher, I believe in making each lesson unique to the individual needs of the student to unlock their full potential. In addition I have extensive experience teaching voice to children with special needs.
