About Emily

I have developed curriculum and conducted workshops and conferences for schools, churches, and unions, both
nationally and internationally. As an adjunct professor, I wrote curriculum, prepared exams, and made recommendations regarding the specific scope of study. As a doctor of ministry adviser for doctoral candidates I edited dissertations for structure, format, context, grammar, and punctuation. I taught life skills for youth with physical and mental challenges for four years. I improved writing, public speaking, and inter-personal skills for inner city youth at a public school for six years.

As an author and playwright, I have published books and plays. I have written and directed over forty plays for schools, churches, and unions. I have written Sunday School commentaries, study guides, and materials for workshops through the years.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bible Studies

I have a Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity. I have been an adjunct seminary professor for ten years as well as advisor for doctor of ministry candidates for five years.

Proofreading

It is difficult to have a critical read of one's work. As a writer, adjunct professor, I encourage my students to get assignments done early in order to let the work grow cold. When that is done grammatical, spelling, content errors are quicker to catch.

Public Speaking

As a workshop speaker, preacher, teacher, union representative, I have been called to speak in many different venues, locally, nationally, and internationally. My experience has been with both adult and youth students in developing their public speaking as well as teaching them the art of drama.

Reading

As an adjunct seminary professor I encourage students to read for clarity, including understanding the context of what is being read. It is important to know what is expected of one in any assignment.

Religion

My degrees are Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry. I have been an adjunct seminary professor in Practical Theology and Spiritual Formation. I was an advisor of doctor of ministry students guiding them through their initial classes through their final dissertations.

Writing

I am a published author and freelance writer with numerous articles, papers, plays, and books written. As a doctoral advisor, I have edited doctoral students' work in preparing them for their final dissertation. As an adjunct seminary professor, I have worked with my masters level students and their written work. I have taught creative writing to two women's groups.

I believe I have found a jewel!

Dr. P. was fantastic on the first meeting. I believe that she is going to help me complete my dissertation assignment. Dr. P. knows her stuff! I am very happy to have the pleasure of working with her.
