Many years ago I took my first course in Chemistry. I had the highest grade in every exam given that year. The next year I took Chemistry II, and again I had the highest grade in every exam that year also. I realized I had a natural aptitude for Chemistry, the knowledge I gained have never left me. Math was a little different however. I struggled with Algebra my first year but it gradually became better. By my first year of College the light bulb come on fully and Mathematics not only became easy but fun. I have a BS degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology and a Jurist Doctorate. I have taken college courses in Calculus, Differential equations and Probability and Statistics. I started tutoring in College and have done so for over 25 years. I have tutored many students from elementary to college level and have taught Physics on a high school level for one year. I have tutored Math subjects from elementary mathematics to Calculus. this includes Algebra I,II, Trig, Pre-calculus, and Geometry.

My daughter said she was more confused about her assignment than before the session. She did not feel Mr. Steve was completely helpful throughout her tutoring. He was nice and professional but my daughter did not connect with him.
whenever I am tutoring a student, I ask the student if they understand the work before continuing. This was done after every problem that was solved, they are encouraged to ask questions if they don't understand. I also do an assessment during the lesson to see why the student may not be understanding the work, it is usually because they do not understand the prior material that the present lesson is built on. In this case the student needed extra help on foundation materials. This is not an impediment to success, but requires patience to achieve the desired result.
My son was able to relate to Steve right from the beginning. He has a kind spirit and is very patient. I'm impressed that he is so thorough and was able to tell whether my son had been practicing. He is encouraging and easy to understand.
I tutored Algebra in college and have also done so for many years When I taught Physics in high school, I spent a significant amount of time helping the students in algebra. I have taken courses in Calculus I,II and III and also Differential Equations and Probability and Statistics. I understand Algebra well and know how to make it simple.

I received an A in trigonometry when I took it in High school and liked it ever since, I have tutored Trig to students for over 25 years. Understanding trig is necessary to doing well in physics and most engineering courses. I spent many hours teaching trig to students just so they can do physics problems. A basic understanding of Trig is necessary.
